Gunbird
is one of those shhot’em’ups that is like a well worn slippers, it never
surprises you with anything that you probably wasn’t expecting. It has all the usual upgrades and the
enemy fire so many bullets at times, it’s impossible to a void getting
shot. I think that’s why they
included credits. It was inevitable
that you were going to die, its just matter of when.
Just as in the many other games produced by
Psyke, you are given a choice of players.
Each player uses a different weapon and had different stages to
complete. I think the rearranged them
differently. Then you were off into
the made world that had these people waffling something in Japanese, then you
would start to ascent up the screen.
I
must admit that I also played this game in the arcade as well and I does suck
you dry of all you money. I just
wished they advertised these game a little bit. It seemed strange to me to
never release a product and then complain that someone copied it. I hope to buy this game again to keep in
my personal collection but I doubt I’ll pay the type of prices demanded for
this now. Oh well, at least there’s
MAME.
