Sensible Soccer 2006

I have always love playing the Sensible Soccer games.  They were fast, unrealistic and not to hard on you.  You could cut people down, perform impossible shots on goal and score.  The trouble is this game has lost its soul and I don’t think the fact that Sensible Software did write this iteration is a coincidence.

The trouble with is game is it wants to be a simulator.  It wants to compete with the better franchises like Pro Evolution Soccer and it has no chance what so ever of achieving this.  It is a middle of the road game that can’t make it’s mind up what it wants to be and in the end it’s just a complete mess.

I must admit that I only played it a handful of time bit in every match, I was down to nine men in the first half.

I found the players were unresponsive; they were too slow to turn and left the ball behind.  The goalkeepers were gods amongst men or they certainly played like they were a cut above the rest.  The referee was to quick to brandish the yellow card  and stopped the game every time and I do mean every time I tackled anyone.

There are some who would say that showing aggression is a good thing for the body but I wanted to smash my TV.  Yes I have my PC connected to my TV.  So I decided to stop playing this travesty of a game and went back to playing World of Sensible Soccer that was eight years old and cost me a fraction of this piece of shite years ago.

If you want a simple and fun football game buy World of Sensible Soccer or buy a Gamecube and buy Mario Soccer.

It won’t cost you much more than this and at least it knows that it’s just a silly little arcade football game that will most probably get played after going to the pub.

I’m sorry to say this but THIS GAME SUCKS.
