This is the first games show of any description that I have been
too in a long time. I have to say that my colleague and myself had a lot
of fun. So this event ran for two days from the 28th to the 29th and
opened at 11AM and closed at 10PM. This was great for me because It
allowed me to try and test the games after the masses went home.

My partner
in crime! This is Robert and he is one of the reviewers that works
on the site. He does the editing on my pieces and corrects my
grammar. |

Here's a
picture of myself , the editor of the site. |
I didn't get to take photos of every game
game, so here's a list of games I didn't play or take photos. Super
Street Fighter 4, Super Street Fighter 2 HD Remix, Little Big Planet, etc.
Street Fighter 4 was by far the most
popular game of the show. They had 8 arcade machines and they also had
playable versions on the XBOX 360. There was no difference at all
between the arcade version and the console version. I quite like the
look of Super Street Fighter 2 HD Remix and admit it does look better than I
thought it would be but, come on guys, you can buy that game already, do you need
another remake, especially as it was also next to Street Fighter 4.

| This place was packed
and I was glad to be apart of history. This was the first show that
Eurogamer hosted and they did a great show |

Plain sight |
|
 |
 |
|
| I follow
Indie games and they come first. If you expect me to blow my load
over resident evil 5 of Killzone 2, then you might as well go else where.
In my opinion, it is games like Plain Sight that makes my job fun to do.
This game was similar to Zone of Enders and I enjoyed that game immensely. |
This dude
is one of the two programmers who worked on the game. I have entered
the beta for this game and will report back what I thought of it when I
have tested it for more that five minutes. |
When I get
some screen shots I will write a mini review of this game.
What's the best way to describe this master piece. You play a dude
and you get points by running into your opponent and the way you keep the
points is to blow yourself up, it does sound weird but it works. |
| Ace Combat 6 |

This game
looked very pretty and would please someone who was a fan of this series,
but I'm not. |
| |
|
| Braid |
|
 |
This is Braid running on a PC and I will probably buy
this game now. I prefer to play this game on the PC and before
anyone asks the question why, I don't know. There isn't a logical
reason why I should prefer a keyboard and mouse over a controller.
That's just how I roll and as I base my decisions on the whim, you should
realise that I'm random dude. |

I can't remember what this game was called but it
looked fun. It was on the Nintendo Wii and looked like you standard
third person platform game. |

Shaun White's snowboarding |
|
 |
 |
Robert was
playing this game on the Wii and it uses the Wii fit board and you combine
that with the numb chuck thing and the wand and he said it was fun to
play. |

|
|
 |
This game was called Bionic something and played like
those old Contra games on the NES and Super NES and it was fun to play.
I enjoyed it a lot. |

|
Resident Evil 5 |
|
|
 |
You will have to overlook the dodgy picture. This
game was insane to play and one thing I did notice about the zombies was
the way that they died. Usually when the zombies died, they just
drop dead but, these zombies disintegrated like they were a pool of oil.
They seem to react more like something on an Anime series than a
traditional Resident evil game. |

Crackdown and APB |
|
 |
Whether you liked or hated Crackdown the game, you have
to respect anyone in the games industry that actually does the coding of
the games. The question he said that was asked of him the most was,
when will Crackdown 2 be made? Microsoft has delayed any decision
and it was too late to start the game, due to the fact that they're
working on APB. He said that APB will be released sometime in 2009.
He could not be any more specific at the moment. He said that if he
was to give a release date, more than likely the game would be
delayed. |

Mirror's Edge |
|
|
 |
With two thousand entrants at this event, I could not
get to play all the games. This game looked like some kind of French
jump from building to building and the person you controlled seemed to do
the same inside the buildings as well. |

Sega stand, looking for new
recruits |
|
|
 |
It's times like this that make me sad. I could be
working for one of the greatest games companies in history of gaming but
because I am a ignoramus, that will never happen. You see they were
looking for programmers and artists and I can't program and I have the
hands of a spastic. It's so disappointing. |

Eurogamer Question and Answers |
|
|
 |
In what
seems to be a norm these days, there was a question and answer section
with the writers of the website. This was interesting to Robert but
I wanted to go and get a scoop somewhere else. It was fun
though and you realise that the people who run these sites are in fact the
same as you or I. I especially enjoyed talking to the editor, the
one with the mic. |

A god amongst men (well he worked
with one anyway) |
|
 |
This was
the most interesting part of the show and as I cover movies as well, gives
me an excuse to talk about him. This guy is Peter Corrigan and worked
with Terry English, who created the armour for Aliens
the movie. As soon as I heard this I completely forgot that I was at
a games show. I called Robert over and told him to prepared to bow
down before this man, because he's a god. Once Robert realised who
he was he gave him the absolute respect that he deserved. I only wished
that he had something that we could have kept. |
This
painting was made whilst we we coving the show and it looks good
