I hate Lego star wars

Now to a lot of people may think that someone hating a game they adore, to be almost tantamount to heresy but that is how I feel.

It is only an opinion but I don’t get Lego Star Wars.  It is a simplistic game that is wrapped in two franchises.  The camera angles are annoying, the puzzles hark back to a time when graphics were terrible and Lucas art uses game techniques that sucked over a decade ago but, I can’t stop playing this Mickey Mouse steaming pile dog turd.

I played the first star wars game up to episode 3; where you have to fly your ship into a space craft and save Senator Palpatine.   I have always had difficulty with the inverted controls used for flying a plane.

For example I wouldn’t think to myself to look down to look up and I don’t see why I should do the same playing a game.  I found the characters to be slow; especially the Jedi knights but, that might be because my PC sucks.  Maybe after I have purchased a HDTV, I will buy this game again on the PS2.

It is a good game but there are a few things that I think needs some extra work.  When I install the new original trilogy; it took ages to install; nothing happened on the screen and I thought the game had crashed.  It latter turned out that for some PCs; the game had issues installing and I had to make a copy of all my files with a replacement .MSI file and burn the disk again using a NO CD crack.  I find this annoying.  If I pay good money for a game, I expect it to at least install and that didn’t happen until I used the replacement installation MSI file.

In retrospect the title is a little misleading but, when I finally got this game running, that is how I felt.  I do like the game but, some of the puzzle that are quite simple are seriously annoying when you can’t see them and even more annoying when you realise how to do them.  It just makes me feel so dumb.  I think the trouble is that most games show you what to do and as soon as you have to use more than 2 brain cells, it becomes difficult.  I wish more games would just push you mentally once in a while like Lego Star Wars has.
