Nintendo push back DVD playback on the Wii, even though they never admitted to adding that feature.  It was meant to be introduced in 2007.  "Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has said "With supply constraints [of the Wii] continuing worldwide, the priority is on the current model". The 0.3% of the population with a Wii but without a DVD player must surely be distraught."  More

Here is the first list of games that will be able to use the new trophies feature on the Playstation 3.  BUZZ! Quiz TV, LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm Pacific Rift, NBA 09, PAIN, PixelJunk Eden, Resistance 2, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation and Warhawk More

Here are the first screen shots of the trophies screen from the Playstation 3.  More

Here is a video of how the trophies will work on the PS3

Eurogamer has an interesting interview with David Smith, co-founder and technical director of LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule and on this Wednesday the 2nd of July; will be able to ask questions in a Q&A.

"User-generated content is at the heart of LittleBigPlanet and if we've done our jobs right, you'll create new experiences that we haven't even thought of yet," said Smith, when we asked him to give us words for our press release.

"This is a great opportunity for me to make sure you have the tools to make the LittleBigPlanet experiences you want to make." It's also a chance to ask him the questions you've had on your mind for the last year but have never had the chance to ask.

Just to give you an idea what appeals to me.  Yesterday Diablo 3 was announced at a big event and every games  news service was going nuts   over it.

I'm more interested in Densetsu No Stafi on the DS.  I like Cute games.  I'm still trying to get hold of a Japanese game that translates as Soyo the seal, that came out on the SNES.  It was called the cutest game ever made by Superplay.  If anyone has any information about this game or, where it can be purchased; please contact me.  I want to play this game.  Davesworldld

Syo the seal - Syonen Ashibe - Shounen Ashibe

As mentioned previously; A big event happened yesterday and trailers can be found on the main page.  What I failed to mention was that Eurogamer also had a lot of other details about the game.

Blizz fans won't notice merger - Morhaime

I remember playing the first Diablo game at a friend of mine and not having a clue what I was meant to do.  It seemed that the game basically revolved around attacking lots of creatures and I lost interest in the game quickly.  I personally might buy another DS just to play Densetsu No Stafi.

Rockman 7 remake

Perhaps I've run out of crack today or the person who created this remake is smoking something.  This is a remake of Rockman / Megaman 7 on the Super NES, but they have remade it it look and sound like it was designed to run on the NES.  WTF?

Dizzy and the other side

A remake of this little game has been created and runs on windows based platforms.  I posted the link specially for Count Zero from Commander Tim.  Go checkout the website and download it.  It's free.

For all you young people who won't know this fact.  This was originally released by Codemaster and probably written by the Darling brothers who recently received a CBE for their work in the games industry.

Here's something suspicious.  This picture's taken from the bonus material off the Metal Gear Solid 4 disc and if I'm not mistaken, that XBOX 360 looks like a development kit

Now why would Kojima Productions need an XBOX 360? Kojima Productions has not produced any titles for the 360.  The above frame came from the segment "Hideo Kojima's Gene" in the bonus features disc, for those who have it and want to watch.

Guitar Hero 4:  An on-line survey has leaked details of the artist line up and it's not too bad.  "Guitar Hero World Tour will feature playable digital versions of Sting, Ozzy Osbourne, Ted Nugent, Billy Corgan, Jimi Hendrix, Travis Barker, Hayley Williams, and Zak Wylde."  More

Duke Nukem Forever won't be at E3 (which isn't a surprise), but why?  "according to 3D Realms' Scott Miller - "swimming along nicely". No, "seriously nicely". So it's fair to assume that we'll be seeing it in some kind of capacity at this year's E3, right? Uh, no. It won't be there. At all. Why not? Miller says it's because E3 is now irrelevant. "It's just that we view E3 as irrelevant nowadays. In fact, I wasn't even aware it was coming up". Harsh words from Scott Miller, who is perhaps secretly envious that E3 has a firm date."  More

This women must seriously suffer from back problems

Could this be proof of Diablo 3?

Sony has confirmed that White Knight will be out before the end of the fiscal year and that ends next April (2009).White Knight Story is an RPG being developed by Level-5. Little else is known about the game so far - but you can view some videos over on the gamepage.

Sony executive Kaz Harai, demonstrates a new utility on the Playstation 3 called Life with PlayStation.  It has some kind of Google earth style planet and will have stories that are accessible from headlines.   Users can pick their own music to play whilst they read their stories and later versions will allow geo tagged images to be viewed.  Check out these picks.  More

Prince of Persia: The Fallen King on the DS, reminds me of anime for some reason.  More

Rumour:  A retail ad; allegedly from K-mart, shows a price cut in the USA for the XBOX 360.  "The ad, purported to hit July 6, shows that the model that comes equipped with a 20GB hard drive, formerly known as the 'Pro' version, will be priced at $299 US. That's a $50 price drop from its current MSRP."  More

Microsoft has released a tool called Content License Transfer Tool and it allows you to transfer your games or movies that you purchased via XBOX live marketplace to you new console.  Larry Hryb has a useful guide to restoring your content after getting another XBOX 360 console.  360 Content License Restoration FAQ

This is a  PSP so cute, that it will make you want to throw up.  Spotted in Akihabara retailer Toranoana.  That PSP is covered with stickers and running a demo for PC ero-game Dokodemo suki shite itsudemo suki shite ("Love me wherever, Love me whenever"). Keep in mind that this game is for the PC and not the PSP, and the shop created this sticker covered PlayStation Portable to promote this computer game.

iPhone 2.0 upgrade will securely erase secure data: "The fact that the iPhone doesn't securely erase user data when you select "Erase All Content and Settings" has prompted a lot of hand-wringing (and given rise to a lot of complicated manual workarounds) as people get ready to flip their old phones and upgrade to the iPhone 3G, but it looks like there's a simpler solution coming: AppleInsider says the iPhone 2.0 software now securely erases user data."  More

What's the deal with American politicians and the Grand Theft Auto series?   "Gayle Slossberg has a problem: She wants confirmation of the rumored rape scene in Grand Theft Auto IV—but she can't reach that level of the game. The Milford state senator's never played GTA, but she fears it's corrupting the youth and thinks a law requiring better warning labels might be the fix. She told the Nose as much at a Capitol press conference last week."

"Slossberg hints she'll nonetheless introduce legislation next session calling for clearer labeling of depraved video games like Grand Theft Auto. In doing so, she'll join fellow pols Joe Lieberman and Hillary Clinton who have pushed video game restrictions on the federal level. Still, Slossberg's a bit unsure of how the warning labels might read: "I mean what would it say? 'This game will make you a sociopath'?" Perhaps...."

No; a game won't make a person a sociopath.  Being a sociopath previous to playing the game might do though.  I wish someone over their in the good old US of A would pull these politicians a side and tell them to stop it; it's not big and it's not cleaver.  The way they all seemed to go after one single game, make me question whether or not they work for Rockstar North.

Think about this for a moment; the game sales will have started to slow down and all of a sudden another hysterical politician takes the place of Jack Thompson; demanding that this game be treated like the above statement says.  More

Eternal Sonata will be released this year on the PS3 (in Japan at least). The new version of the game will include two new playable characters, new dungeons, new quests, multiple endings (which depend on your in-game actions), new costumes, some new musical numbers and even new 2D character illustrations.  More
