One thing the Japanese seemed to do well is fantasy.  I sometimes think that they don’t so much drop acid but just have the stuff connected via an intravenous drip.

In this OVA and TV series the main characters are three girls who go to a Tokyo school.  One day they take a trip to the Tokyo tower and they suddenly get transported into a strange world, where dragons and other weird creatures live.  These include some weird white fluffy thing that makes the noise, “Mokka, Mokka”. 

There they learn of a man called Zepharoth and some queen that has fallen madly in love with him and has stopped bothering with the world that she is in charge of.  The world is dieing because of that.  A strange boy that looks a lot like a girl, walks up to one of them and tells them of the plight of the realm and that only the Magic Knights can say the world.  Only three girls from another world can become the Magic Knights.  So off the three go to find the knights and try and prove themselves worthy of becoming the knights that destiny has foretold.  As usual, as soon as the boy has finished speaking some weird women turns up declaring her undying love for Zepharoth and attacks the three girls.  She is beaten quite easily as one would expect for an enemy in a 50 plus series and off they go.

This is another A.I.C production and is as usual weird.  It is so cute I found myself feeling sick for the first few episodes but it does get better.  There are a few things that did get annoying.  The intelligent one of the three kept saying.  “It appears to be.”  For example.  A big dragon appears and she says, “It appears to be a dragon.”  Is she taking the piss.  I can see it’s a fucking dragon.  How about telling me something I don’t know, like.  If we use water on a fire dragon, it will cause the fire to go out or something like that.  Must every schoolgirl wear a mini skirt? it’s bloody annoying.  Perhaps in Japan it is considered normal to lust after young girls.  Over here in the UK it’s called paedophilia and is a convictional crime.  It also annoys me that every girl and women has the same size legs.  Perhaps the Japanese don’t like the fact that on average they are in fact small and they don’t want to be reminded of this fact.  This would explain why in all their porn stuff, everyone is hung like a donkey or related to Dolly Parton.  Well they all and I do mean all have huge breasts.  Not one of them is carrying an ounce of fat and seemed to have no defining individual qualities.  This is the same in this series.  The girls are all the same.  They all seem to think that being cute in the be all and end all.  They all squeal like little girls.  Come on!  Are you telling me that not one Japanese girl is a tomboy? 

It’s watch able crap but like most anime products are just a little bit cheesy.  Near the end of the first series where they defeat Zepharoth, the girls tell each other how they could never had got this far without the help of the other two and how much the loved each other.  Get a room, get laid and get it out of their system.  If all girls and women were like these three, the world would have a lot less people.  You have the nerd, athletic and the hard but completely stupid.  If you have ever watched a chic-flic you would have an idea what I’m talking about.  Group hug, more like slap some sense into these stupid kids.  Of course all the boys seemed to have attitude problems and don’t like to accept any help from anyone, so don’t think the opposite sex are free from the clichés.

I would recommend a few beers when watching this series of anime.  It’s ok but is really designed for Japanese girls and let’s face it, the Japanese are pretty FUCKED UP.
