The
third and so called final part of the trilogy sees the return of the Xmen,
Magneto and his usual plans.
In
the previous film; Jean Grey was killed or we thought was killed but we learn
latter on in the film that this isn’t the case.
Magneto
and Charles Xavier visit the young miss Grey and Charles decides that he
needs to split her power from her personality and control the power that is
later referred to as the phoenix. It
turns out that she is a very powerful mutant if she got in the wrong hands
would cause a lot of trouble.
Magneto
decides that rather than prevent her, he should encourage her powers and asks
her to join her in fighting the humans.
Jean
kills the professor and it is here where Magneto brings her to his hide out.
This
is probably the best Xmen film yet and I don’t think that it will be the
last. A lot happens in this film that
makes it seem impossible for a follow up to be made but, one thing I’ve
learnt about these films is; just when you thought that they can’t continue
the story, they bring in new ways to bring back the dead and it’s business as
usual.
I
would recommend you watch the first two and then watch this film
afterwards. I read a review that said
that it was confusing and I say why?
The story was quite easy to follow.
Maybe the reviewer has become so used to not using his brain that this
suddenly becomes complicated. It’s a
simple little romp and nothing more.
